It is very important that before booking, you are aware of my style and art technique. I tend to stray away from the traditional smile and pose photos. Once you reach out, I will confirm you are comfortable with and desiring my style, we will set a date, and I will grab your deposit to secure your date and time.

After booking, you will receive a questionnaire that will give me a glimpse into what you hope to capture from your session with me. I always recommend choosing a location that holds special significance for you and your family. Whether that be your home, an ice cream shop, or a local playground you love, I want to be there and capture your favorite memories.

I am here to help you with outfit planning and any other questions you may have. By session day, I hope your stress is low, there is excitement, and we are able to capture the goodness and sweetness of life. I will offer up some suggestions and ideas during the session, but my goal is to do less directing and more spectating and capturing of your real life moments.

NEWBORN SESSION INFO
Newborn sessions begin at $400 for one hour, FIRM. Should we need more time, a discussion will follow the one-hour cut-off time for scheduling more time or having me stay later if available. I typically suggest booking an hour and a half of time for newborn sessions to ensure we have enough time. While capturing newborns, I have found that an hour and a half is the sweet spot. I recommend feeding the baby right before I arrive so that they are nice and full for photos. The fuller the baby, the sleepier the baby! If you have further questions, please reach out.
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
I do not limit photos in galleries. Every good photo I get, you receive. Most of my galleries contain 60+ images.
How should I dress for my session?
I recommend dressing in whatever makes you most comfortable. Keep it cohesive. I recommend no large logos, tacky designs, or anything that will be distracting in the photos. I have also found that mixing textures adds more depth to the photos. I offer styling assistance with each session package.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
I have found that between 7-14 days is the sweet spot. It allows you time to get settled, but also ensures the baby stays looking fresh and little.
When will I receive my gallery?
My turnaround time is around three to four weeks, currently per session.
Do you have a studio space?
I don't have a studio space and am not taking in studio sessions at the moment.
Do you require retainers?
At the time of booking, I collect half of your session fee as a retainer for all session types. This is to secure your spot on my calendar. Should you miss your session, the retainer is non-refundable. However, you always have the option of rescheduling to a different date because I understand the curveballs of life.
Do I get to pick the location?
Yes! I am always open to going wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that be your house, your land, or another location you love. I strongly suggest picking a location that is special and sacred to you. I am no longer taking sessions that take place in a random field or park. My goal for my sessions is for you to feel natural, unstaged, and comfortable. Being on family land, in your home, or at a location that is special to you is the best way to achieve that.
What if there is inclement weather?
If your session is taking place outside and the weather is yucky, we will work together to choose a new date. If there is ever a possibility of an indoor backup plan, we can always resort to that. For in-home sessions, if the day is impossibly dark, we will talk about a possible reschedule.
Do you provide the original unedited files?
I DO NOT send out RAW photos. The images you receive in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, color, and sharpness. I choose to send only my finalized and edited version to ensure you receive the best and most beautiful version of your photo.
